Welcome to Saxon we are a grassroots riding club part of the Area 9 of the British Riding Clubs.
We regularly run dressage competitions and club training and encourage members of any level. We run tests at all levels at each competition from Walk & Trot through to Medium, with British Dressage Tests. We welcome anyone at any level.
We welcome competitors of all ages and for our younger participants we run Junior classes at all our shows, which includes lead rein classes for those under 10 years of age and we have developed our own dressage tests for them and these test copies are available via the downloads page.
Membership is open to all riders and we now have a Junior membership for 8 years and over. Subscription is £30 per year and includes Club 'round up', reduced entry fees and affiliation to British Riding Clubs (BRC). You will receive the BRC Rider magazine and be eligible for BRC benefits, training opportunities, lectures and demonstrations.
As an affiliated club, Team Saxon regularly compete successfully at BRC Area competitions, not just at dressage, arena eventing, combined training, showjumping and XC with a view to competing at the championships. Please see BRC Area 9 page.
Our year ends with our Championship Show which is held in October. To qualify for the Championship Classes, Members need to have been placed 1st to 6th in a class.
Please note as a member we do ask you to help out at least one show per year and will ask you to commit to a date at the start of the year or on joining.
